My 2018 Goals

I often forget about myself. When I say that I don’t mean I forget that I exist or anything. I just often find myself getting so caught up in helping others or making sure everyone else is happy, sometimes I forget to make sure I’m happy. Now don’t get me wrong, I love helping others, in fact I take great pride in putting others first. However this year I’m going to work on taking time for myself as well. Just a few hours a week I can focus on something that makes me happy, or something I’ve always wanted to do but never had time for. As important as it is to help others, we can’t forget to help ourselves to. So my personal goals this year are:

  1. To take time for my creative side- To go on photography runs, paint or draw a little more and possibly take up guitar lessons again.

  2. To further my career- Work on my design portfolio, further my education in online classes and look for a job in my field of choice.

  3. Take time for my fitness- Start running again a few times a week and go back to kickboxing at least a few times this year.

  4. Lastly, plan a trip for myself – Either a small road trip or a getaway for a few days.

Whatever your goals are this year, start the year off fresh and make sure you take a little time to do the things you enjoy. Most importantly, let’s make this the best year yet!
